I'm a fan of hip-hop because I believe it's good writing, the profanity being a necessary evil. When I closely scrutinize the lyrics of any good rap (note the emphasis), I find that metaphors, allusions, and similes are abundant and that the wit incorporated into the rhymes is just incredible. Some of the rhyme schemes of my favorite artists are unbelievably intricate and perfectly crafted to match the beat.
On this page, you can hear some of my best work. I've tried to emulate the styles of several well-known artists while navigating my own comfort zone. The instrumentals are not my own because unfortunately, I cannot make original beats yet -- I'll get there one day, hopefully.
